Eastern
Europe

EASTERN EUROPE: This area has the least established programs. Most of them have only been running for a few years, since the break down of the Soviet Union. However, the number is growing slowly each year. The programs currently available are in Hungary, Poland, Russia, Czechoslovakia, and Slovakia. If none of these programs are suitable it should also be possible to set up an ad hoc program to fit most anyone's needs, as there are many law schools in Eastern Europe that are now opening up to foreign Students.

Touro Law Center
Moscow State University
, May 31 -- June 28, 1996

Touro Law Center, in cooperation with the Law School of Moscow State University (MSU), sponsors an exciting four-week summer law program in Moscow, Russia. The program will provide law students with the opportunity to study law in a country whose legal, economic, social, and cultural foundations are undergoing an historic transition. The fate of this important country will depend in large part on the strength and reformation of its legal institutions and law. Courses, supplemental lectures, and tours will allow students not only to study substantive legal issues, but to compare the emerging Russian legal system with alternatives from the United States and other common and civil law jurisdictions.
