STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM IN GUADALJARA
BAYLOR UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW
Baylor University School of Law, in collaboration with the
Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, will host a two-week summer program in
Guadalajara, Mexico, from August 4 through August 18, 1996. Courses to be
offered in the Summer 1996 program include Comparative Common and Civil Law,
International Human Rights, and NAFTA.
Application for admission to the program will be accepted
from second and third year students of Baylor Law School and from a limited
number of law students from other Texas law schools who have completed the first
year curriculum.
Baylor Law School has arranged for group rates at two hotels
- one economical and one a bit more upscale - and transportation to and -from
classes. The classroom experience will be enriched by visits to the civil and
commercial courts and to Congress. Weekend excursions will include a shopping
trip to Tlaquepaque, a neighboring town known worldwide for its pottery and
glassware, and an excursion to the beautiful Ballet Folklorico at the Degollada
Theater.
Come and experience this affordable education opportunity.
Please continue this program with the UAG... It was one of the most valuable
experiences of my law school career.. The trip was educational and the city was
beautiful as well as the school grounds... I learned a great deal about NAFTA,
Mexican Corporate Law and the court system... The classes were informative.. the
professors were awesome, both inside and outside of class... I will definitely
participate in this program again next year.
