Colorado is pure no-fault: the only ground is that the marriage is irretrievably broken (C.R.S. § 14-10-106). Signing the petition together as co-petitioners is the simplest agreed path - it skips the summons, service, and response. If your spouse will not agree, this is not your packet.
The court cannot enter the decree until at least 91 days after the petition is filed together, the other spouse is served, or the other spouse signs a waiver of service (C.R.S. § 14-10-106(1)(a)(III)) - even when you agree on everything. Each spouse files a Sworn Financial Statement (JDF 1111) and a Certificate of Compliance (JDF 1104) within 42 days, and the Initial Status Conference the court schedules is not the final hearing. With no minor children and no pregnancy, the JDF 1018 affidavit can close the case on the papers without a hearing (§ 14-10-120.3). You are not divorced until the judge signs the Decree (JDF 1019) and the clerk enters it. Court schedules vary by county.
