Please be advised that the Secretary of State also makes available the same information via e-mal. For business organization name availability or information about a specific entity, you may submit the request to corpinfo@sos.state.tx.us.
However, please note that on Thursday, February 11, 1999, the ILRG staff tested the response time of the SOS on these inquiries. We submitted a single name availability request after business hours on February 11, and we did not receive the response until the close of the business day on Wednesday, February 17. If you require immediate information, a telephone call is your best option.
